Phoenix Stars FC Secures Regional League Status for the Senior team
In addition to our 7 teams that compete in the 1st Division League for FAP, Phoenix Stars FC now has a Regional League status for the Senior team! The Regional League, formerly known as the SAB League, is one league away from the professional leagues - this achievement is a huge step for Phoenix Stars FC and our players.
What it means: a bigger, more recognisable platform, greater opportunities, and a clear pathway for our talent to turn professional.
We extend our utmost gratitude to our players, coaches, staff, and fans for the passion and hard work and heartfelt contributions. Let’s keep soaring!

Technical Director
With over 30 years of combined experience in football as a player, coach, agent, scout, and club owner, Siviwe Mahambehlala, affectionately known as Coach, is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the sport. Having honed his skills on the pitch, Coach transitioned into coaching, where he completed the SAFA Level 1 Coaching qualification in 1997. He further expanded his knowledge by participating in various programmes under the UPE-Copenhagen SOE programme.
As a respected figure in football development, Coach has personally conducted coaching courses for aspiring coaches, sharing his expertise and passion for the sport. His extensive experience in various aspects of the game has equipped him with a unique perspective, allowing him to provide valuable insights and guidance to players, coaches, and clubs alike.
With a career spanning multiple facets of football, Coach is a trusted expert in the industry, dedicated to promoting the beautiful game and nurturing talent at all levels.
